Esta es una sociedad repleta de llagas o estigmas, prefiero “llagas” porque clarifica el rechazo de la sociedad a muchos sectores y personas, dotándolos de características que estimulan aún más el rechazo conjunto.
This is a society full of sores or stigmas, I prefer “sores” because it clarifies the rejection of society to many sectors and people, giving them characteristics that further stimulate the joint rejection.
En mi búsqueda de información sobre este tema encontré varios documentos interesantes, en particular uno, me llamó especial atención:
“La organización del estigma en categorías: actualización de la taxonomía de Goffman” del año 2000.
Un estudio sobre 169 estudiantes de ambos sexos de Trabajo Social, Ciencias de la Educación y Psicología de la Universidad de La Laguna.
“El concepto psicosocial de estigma implica un modelo categorial mediante el cual se puedan clasificar y diferenciar los distintos grupos estigmatizados. Dicho modelo tiene, además, repercusiones sobre el proceso de estigmatización y sobre las conductas y reacciones hacia las personas estigmatizadas”…
In my search for information on this topic I found several interesting documents, in particular one, caught my special attention:

Tranquilos, creo que el 80%, sino más, de la población se encuentra estigmatizada. Somos especialistas en llagas, porque ya las tenemos o, porque las contagiamos. Esto significa que: si ya formamos parte de alguno de esos grupos estigmatizados, no quita que también seamos estigmatizadores. Ya listos a propagar las llagas de la sociedad, sólo nos queda esperar a las nuevas tendencias en la amplia gama de posibles estigmas.
Relax, I believe that 80%, if not more, of the population is stigmatized. We are specialists in sores, because we already have them or, because we spread them. This means that: if we are already part of one of these stigmatized groups, it does not mean that we are also stigmatizers. Already ready to spread the sores of society, we can only wait for new trends in the wide range of possible stigmas.
Se entiende, tanta inseguridad necesita apaciguarse de alguna manera. Nada mejor que categorizar y categorizarnos para sentirnos partes de esa raza superior y perfecta que, por cierto y a estas alturas, está llena de llagas.
No olvidemos que esta reacción a lo diferente, si comprendemos esas llagas como una erupción que afecta a ese porcentaje menor de la población, es psico-socio-cultural-somática. Por lo tanto, si te pica demasiado, tendrás que revisar tus llagas propias.
It is understood, so much insecurity needs to be appeased somehow. Nothing better than categorizing and categorizing ourselves in order to feel part of that superior and perfect race that, by the way and up to this point, is full of sores.
Let’s not forget that this reaction to what is different, if we understand these sores as a rash that affects that minor percentage of the population, is psycho-socio-cultural-somatic. Therefore, if you itch too much, you will have to check your own sores.
Aquí empieza mi aporte, un espacio donde las llagas de la sociedad se hagan más visibles, que puedan sanar poco a poco a la luz de todo el que desee ver.
